Rustic Barn at Hopewell Wedding

Matt and Megan looked at several wedding venues.  Just a few minutes into their visit, they knew they wanted to have a Rustic Barn at Hopewell wedding.  It’s easy to see why.  With acres of lush grass, trees and flowers The Rustic Barn at Hopewell is one of the most charming wedding venues I’ve been to.  It was the perfect location for this easy going couple on their emotion-filled wedding day.

 

Getting Ready

In a beautiful moment of family coming together to celebrate Megan as she prepared for her day her mom and step-mom spent time lacing up her dress together.   Her friends helped and the asked her aunt to jump in and finish the lacing up.  Meanwhile, Matt a triplet was getting help from his brothers with his cuff links and tie.  Then it was time for first looks.   Megan, a self-proclaimed Daddy’s girl, knew when we first met, that she wanted to do a daddy-daughter first look.

Surprise…

A surprise letter from the groom was delivered to Megan during the getting ready portion of the day.  Knowing the tears would flow she waited until shortly before the ceremony to read it.   Overcome with emotion from the day and the letter, through her tears she said “I just love him so much.”

 

Just as it was about time for the ceremony to start a large thunderstorm cell was approaching.  The ceremony proceeded outside, ending in just a few sprinkles.  We quickly took  took some just married photos, in case it was our last chance of the day.  The skies cleared and we were able to take the family pictures at the ceremony site just as the bride and groom were hoping for.  As the evening progressed, the storm moved south.  We never got more than a few sprinkles!  Toward the end of the evening we headed to the back of the rolling property for sweet romantic sunset photos.  They newlyweds capped off the evening with a sparkler exit that was fun for everyone!  Thank you so much Megan and Matt for entrusting me to capture your special day!
