2020 Senior Rep Emmy

Meet Emmy!  Emmy is a sweet bundle of energy, poise and grace.  Honestly, she moves with the poise and grace of a princess, and it just comes naturally.  Her mom shared that she was that way even as a toddler.  Definitely a bit jealous over here, since I’m not half that graceful on my best day.  🙂

 

Emmy is an expert in time management, she has to be with all she does!  She’s on the varsity cheer squad for both football and basketball at her high school.  She serves her school community as a member of student council.  As a part of student council she serves on her school’s Riley Dance Marathon committee.  They just wrapped up this year’s Riley Dance Marathon raising a record $12,929.98 surpassing their goal by over $2000!  Wow!  That is amazing!  A huge shout to Emmy & everyone on the Riley Dance Marathon committee for doing so much to support our states largest children’s hospital!

 

A Passion for Dance

Dance is such a passion of Emmy’s.  She dances competitively through a local dance school.  She takes lessons several days a week and also assists with classes for younger dancers.  She’s also excels academically, and is a member of her high school’s National Honor Society.   When I asked her, ” How do you do it all?”  She took it in stride and says, “I just do.”

 

In her years of competitive dancing, she has attended competitions several years in the Carolina’s and she loves the southern style.  For her rep session I drove through our small town looking for any places that I thought looked remotely southern–after I checked with Google to make sure I really had an idea of what I was looking for.  Emmy and her mom also did some brainstorming for local places that had a southern feel to them.
