Romantic Summer Wedding

“I remember when my mom told me they were going to be together forever…”  the maid of honor reminisced in her emotional toast .  This romantic summer wedding was beautiful not only for the fancy dresses and pretty flowers, but for the heart of the couple.  I don’t think there could have been a dry eye in the house as Mallory recounted the events that of that evening.   Chelsea received some very disappointing news, and Brian put preparations for his own upcoming trip aside just to come be with her and comfort her.  He couldn’t change the circumstances, but being there to support her was his highest priority.

 

Brian and Chelsea met in their church youth group.  They have a relationship built on their shared faith in Christ and love for each other.  Chelsea and Brian already seem to know that marriage is love and romance, but also self-sacrifice and supporting the other.  They are delightful together.  It’s easy to tell they are best friends as soon as you meet them.  They laughed and giggled their way through their engagement session last fall.  Of course, they share many moments of fun and laughter together on their wedding day also.

Family and Friends

On a beautiful sunny day, family and friends gathered from across the country to celebrate their romantic summer wedding.  Aunts came together the evening before to prepare a rehearsal dinner.  The prepared dinner not only for the wedding party, but out of town family and friends.

Their wedding party was testimony to their deep long lasting friendships.  Brian and Chelsea both included family, childhood friends and college friends in those they asked to be part of their wedding.  The group that I noticed the most was a group they called their “crew group.”  This was a large group of friends who gathered together during their time at Purdue to enjoy Bible study and fellowship.  I have to give a huge shout out to the bride’s friend who is also named Chelsea.  She rocked as wedding coordinator!
