On this Sunny Friday morning, after an upside down week, I finally have the house to myself.  What to do first!?!  Run errands?  Tidy?  Finish the blog post I started 3 days ago… Big bowl of popcorn in hand, it’s blog post for the win!

On of my goals for 2017 is to blog more–and I really need to step up my game if I want to achieve that goal!  I’m finally feeling settled in to my new website/blog and know my way around a bit.   It’s so much easier to use than my old site, so let’s get to it!  I’m currently putting together the 2018 Senior Rep team and thought this would be the perfect time to look back on a 2017 Senior rep.

Meet Kate!  She is absolutely delightful!  I’ve been so blessed to have her as a 2017 Senior Rep.  One of the first things I noticed about Kate was how her eyes sparkle with enthusiasm!  She was amazing at her rep shoot!  Let me tell you a little about that day.  We almost didn’t’ get to have a rep shoot at all!  Thunderstorms were predicted, but time for the shoot and it was bright and sunny so we met as planned.  Almost immediately the skies began to darken!  We headed away from the dark clouds and decided we’d see what we could capture before the storms hit.

As thunder rumbled in the distance…Kate was amazing right from the start!  She posed and smiled, changed lighting fast and was superb!  We did great in the short time we had.  By the end of the session her sweet dear mom was running between the two of us with the umbrella!

As rain drops fell we got in one of the last shots & nearly everyone raved over it!

Thankfully for Kate’s long summer session the skies were clear and the sun was shining!  We had such fun as we wandered through a wooded property to fields and a pond.  A new first for me, during this shoot, I actually photographed from a boat!  Thankfully, we all stayed dry and managed to get some lovely shots that were in focus! No small feat when the photographer is in a moving boat and the subject on a moving raft.   So many beautiful images,  It’s hard to chose what to share in the blog post!

Thank you so much Kate for choosing me as your senior photographer.  You absolutely rocked your role as Senor Rep!  I have enjoyed so much getting to know you over the past year.  You have such a bright future ahead of you.  I can’t wait to see where you go from here!
