Family Heritage Senior Session Warren Indiana

Say hi to Sophia!  She is a young lady with a distinctive style who knows what she wants.  She planned the most meaningful family heritage  senior session in Warren Indiana.  Each location had special meaning to her and her family throughout the years.  What a neat concept for a senior shoot!  I loved her idea!  Sophia’s family has roots in Warren Indiana and she planned the shoots around locations there.  We started with some fun shots at the local community center.  Reminiscent of childhood days, her face light up as she enjoyed the community center playground.  Next we went to the previous location of a grocery store owned by her grandparents.  There we captured her next to the mural celebrating America.

 

Historic Buildings in Warren

Then we moved on to beautiful historic buildings in downtown Warren.  The church where her mom attend Girl Scouts as a child,  boosted an amazing stain glass window.   An  absolute must to include!  A great place for Sophia’s dressy outfit!   At this point clouds were gathering, thunder rumbled in the distance and her mom and I were checking the radar.  It did not look good!  Sophia’s amazing mom held the umbrella over my camera so we could shoot through sprinkles to capture shots in front of the church.  I am so glad she did!

Next we drove on through downtown Warren, and stopped at the scenic bridge.  The bridge was so much fun!  Sophia humored me by doing her model runway walk .  She has the spinning model turn down pat, and with such flair!

 

Family Farm

Wrapping things up in downtown Warren we headed to Sophia’s paternal grandparents home where she made many memories growing up.  Sophia was clearly proud of her Grandpa’s green thumb and his ability to grow anything.  We took pictures in his flower garden.  Then Sophia made a flower crown from flowers gathered there.  So creative!  I could never make a flower crown and she made it look so easy!

And oh my goodness they had an incredible massive tree on their property!  I was delighted when Sophia wanted to capture some photos with it.  I truly could not capture how large it was with my lens!  Compare how small Sophia is next to the tree and you will have an idea of just how large it is.  Quite a sight to behold!

We captured images around Grandpa’s barn and on the front porch.  To end the evening we were blessed with an amazing sunset!  The sunset was so gorgeous we decided we absolutely had to capture some silhouette photos with the sunset in the background.
