Family Session at Stauffer Farms

This Christmas I was so blessed to have a family session at Stauffer Farms with the Stauffer Family!  Christmas is such a busy time for them on their farm! We’ve talked about capturing some images of their family for years during Christmas mini sessions at Stauffer Farms.  I’m so glad this year we were finally able to make it happen.  The Saturday before Christmas their college-age son was home, the Christmas trees were nearly sold out and they had a bit of time with everyone together.

I’ve been blessed to know the Stauffer family for years, through kids activities and church.  Over the past few years I’ve gotten to know them a bit better partnering with them for Christmas mini sessions.  They are some of the kindest, most welcoming people I have ever met.  Eddie and Amy both have the gift of hosting.  They serve and make  people feel at ease the moment they walk in the barn.

A few times I’ve been fortunate enough to stop by during slower hours,  and had wonderful conversations with Amy.  She is real and genuine, not afraid to admit that life isn’t perfect.  She always shares encouraging thoughts and how God is working in her life.  It is always a joy that leaves me smiling when I get to share time with this special lady!

Welcome to Stauffer Farms

The antique barn that has been in their family for generations is  at the heart of Stauffer Farms.  Last Christmas Amy and Eddie’s kids had a sign made welcoming visitors to their farm.  What a special gift!  They display the sign proudly in their barn all year long, and wanted to be sure to capture it in some of the photos.  It was a frigid morning, and even in the barn we all got cold quickly, especially the little ones.  Despite the hand-warmers and blankets, it was COLD!

We headed inside to warm up.  Eddie quickly had a fire going and we even managed to capture a few more images inside.

It was a joy to get to capture the entire Stauffer family together, as they have grown and their daughter now has a sweet family of her own.    Enjoy a peak at a few of my favorites,  along with some images from the opening weekend  of Christmas season at their farm.
