I was so excited for this Lakeside Garden summer engagement session with Gail and Alex! Gail contacted me about photographing their wedding before they choose a venue, had a date or were even officially engaged! 🙂 We have been messaging about engagement session and wedding plans ever since! When we met for their session Alex told me Gail had been excited about it all week!
Let me tell you Gail is a photographer’s dream bride!!! She has been “studying” the bridal guide I sent in her welcome package. She had her ring cleaned (just like the bridal guide suggests) early the week of their session, and then wouldn’t wear it until the session! She wanted to make sure her beautiful ring looked fabulous for their engagement session! Like all brides, Gail had so many questions about engagement session, wedding planning, etc. when she and Alex first became engaged. During a Zoom call, she shared that the bridal guide answered almost all of the questions she had about wedding planning, timeline, etc.
“…there is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humor.”– Charles Dickens
In the first few moments of their engagement session, under the willow trees at Lakeside Garden, I knew it was going to be an AMAZING session! Gail and Alex started laughing, deep rich full laughter –that makes you laugh along, as I was teaching them a few poses. Their fun and laughter continued throughout the evening. They were an absolute blast!!! It was easy to see their love for each other as we captured the many areas of the park.
Gail and Alex met in college. Their studies were completely separate, but met in the ballroom dance club at Purdue University Fort Wayne. They spent time together in a group of friends for about six months before spending time together one on one. Alex had never seen Princess Bride, and as they were watching it he asked Gail to go out with him! How sweet! That was over three years ago and as Gail said “…it’s been pretty amazing since.”
Amid all their laughter, they also nailed the super model face! Before bursting into more laughter! 🙂
You know your couple is having fun when this happens between sets…..
The only poses Gail requested. It turned out fabulous!!!
Since Alex and Gail met in a Ballroom Dance club, I thought it would be so appropriate to ask if they wanted to dance. I definitely enjoyed watching them show off their skills!
As it looked like a thunderstorm was imminent we managed to sneak in some few last photos in front of the azalea bushes.
Gail and Alex had such a fun and amazing session it was super hard to narrow it down to just a few to share here. So grab a tall ice tea and sit back and enjoy a few sneak peeks from their Lakeside Garden summer engagement session.
