Sunflower Senior Session

Meet Lily!

Meet Lily!  I’m so excited to have Lily as the final member completing the 2022 Senior Rep team!  When I met with Lily and her they mentioned taking pictures in a sunflower field her dad had seen recenlty.   Early August was perfecting timing for a sunflower senior session!

 

Umm…. we need to reschedule

Lily’s  session was scheduled for Tuesday.  I went out to do some location scouting and hit a wash out!  Oh my!  I was being so careful!  At least I thought I was!  I was stuck, really really stuck!  Who gets stuck in August???

This meant 3 things

• I was stuck in so deep that my radiator was sitting on the ground while still IN the car!  My son came to pull me out! 🙂
• My radiator was cracked on the car needed to serious repairs
• Lily’s session was NOT going to happen that night  🙁  One of the few times in my career I’ve rescheduled for anything besides weather.

 

See you at the Sunflower Field

Lily and her mom were so very gracious and we reschedule for a couple days later, with some bonus minutes added for their kindness!  🙂  So we met on a beautfiul sunny evening in a sunflower field tucked away on a quiet back road.  Lily was fabulous right from the start!  Willing to step deep into the sunflowers for fun poses, and really willing to try about anything I suggested.    She also kept her cool and looked lovely and radient the whole evening!  I overheated in the first 15 minutes (Note to self:  never wear the cute polyester shirts from Old Navy to a summer shoot!).  Seriously, I don’t know how she didn’t!  She didn’t even want to use the cooling clothes in my bag.  Go Lily!

 

More flowers, tall grasses & a lake

After several fun shots in the sunflower field, we moved on to another location.  I love this little treasure trove of different settings in one location!  Stearing clear of my unfortunate location!  We started with some shots near the water with Lily still in her cute sundress.  Next up Lily had an awesome pair of pants!  Flowy, with wide legs, and just so unqiue and fun!  We worked to find poses that showed off Lily’s pants and a few that showed off her amazing ballet skills!

Fall Feels

Lily ended the evening in a darling outfit that reminded me of fall.  We even found some dried grasses to pair with the outfit, to bring out even more of the fall feel.  She still looked radient and cool, I don’t know how she did it!

 

I had so much fun with Lily at her session, and am so thankful to have her as part of the 2022 Senior Rep team!  I can’t wait to get to know her more over the coming year!
