Kylee and Brandon chose to have a downtown Decatur engagement session because that is his hometown and where they met! Kylee reminisced that she and Brandon met on a very snowy night when her family decided to go bowling. The Bluffton bowling alley was closed, so they went to Villa Lanes in Decatur where Brandon was working. As her family bowled she said, “Brandon kept coming over to hangout and help fix things.” Kylee actually thought Brandon was much older than her and actually told her sister ” He’s cute you should get his number.” She shared that the whole time she thought he was flirting with her sister! Later she found out everyone else knew it was her he was flirting with! As they left Kylee’s brother suggested Brandon look her up on Facebook. Before she made it home, Kylee had a request and message from Brandon Brown! Of course they wanted to capture some images at the place were it all began! Pretty neat how God can use a snowstorm to bring two people together!
Brandon proposed last spring on the final day of an eight day Caribbean Cruise with her family. Kylee shared she was rather grumpy that day. It was super hot, and after eight days of sight-seeing she was tired. Despite her plans for a nap, Brandon manage to get Kylee to the pier where her parents were taking pictures. Once there he got down one knee, told her how much he loved her, and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. Of course she said YES!!! Kylee also shared “needless to say I wasn’t grumpy anymore that day.”
Kylee is studying to be a math and science middle school teacher! My hat is off to her! I can’t even teach Sunday school! She’s in her toughest semester yet, finishing all the core classroom work before beginning student teaching. Brandon recently earned his CDL and enjoys seeing a bit of the countryside as he works. When it’s date night, after a busy week, Kylee and Brandon love to go to hockey games. Their favorite team match is the Komets vs. Toldeo Walleye. Who doesn’t love a good hockey fight! 🙂 The hockey season is just getting started so they have a whole new season to enjoy and take a break from school and wedding planning.
Enjoy a few of my favorites from their downtown Decatur engagement session. Isn’t there puppy the cutest! And she’s going to be in their wedding!!! I can’t wait for your wedding next fall, Kylee and Brandon!
