Meet Elizabeth and Brad, they drove over 2 hours to meet me for their winter engagement session. This session was such a treat for me! Not only did I get to meet a new couple, I got explore new places to shoot. Elizabeth gave me the privileged of picking the location, since they were from out of town. As were were talking about possible locations for their session, I wanted to keep it close to where they were visiting and be dog friendly–since they were bringing their golden retriever. I looked briefly at a couple locations and then I drove to Metea park on the north side of Fort Wayne. The search was over! It was beautiful! With fields of tall grass, a pond, and the cutest little bridge… Thank you Elizabeth! I had such a fun time during my afternoon exploring Metea park and snapping some nature pictures.
While my exploring day was nice and warm, it cooled off for our Saturday session. Brad and Elizabeth were amazing! They arrived at the park ready to go and ignored the cold. While I was hiking around in boots and a jacket, they looked wonderful in their dress clothes, and ignored the cold! As we hiked around I learned more about their story. The met in college, while both studying biology, and have been together over 4 years. Brad shared about his job in the field of biology, and Elizabeth talked about the direction she’d like to go when she finishes med school. I truly had no idea how many years it takes between completing med school and becoming a practicing physician! I’m so impressed!
They had a great proposal story…. Brad visited Puerto Rico and though it would make a great place to propose. So that is exactly what he did while they were on vacation there last summer. What a great proposal/vacation memory they will always have!
Here are a few of my favorite images from their session, and some nature shots from my day of scouting just for fun.
I love how they included their dog! She is such a sweet beauty! They pulled this off fabulously!!!
Thank you so much Elizabeth and Brad! I can’t wait for your October wedding!
