Family Farm Senior Session

Meet Lucas!  Lucas is a 2020 senior  who chose to have his senior pictures taken at his family’s farm.  When your family owns a farm that is so beautiful it’s a wedding venue,  having a family farm senior session is the natural choice.

Cross Country

I met up with Lucas and his mom and they had some wonderful ideas for his senior session.  Lucas has run cross country since 6th grade and they definitely wanted to incorporate that into his pictures.  We started out his session on the wooded edge of their property, finding a space that looked a bit like a cross country path.  Lucas was such a good sport to the path for me a few times as I captured him in action.

We continued on around their property capturing a few images by the pond.  Lucas is such a great young man!  He’s quite, easy going nature made his session a breeze.  He was happy to agree to whatever his mom and  I suggested for his pictures.  He even laughed at my very lame and corny attempt at joke telling.

Next, we headed back into the woods for pictures by the river.  Lucas climbed out onto a log to help utilize the best light for capturing pictures in these pictures by the river behind the family farm.  Thank you Lucas for you willingness to do whatever was needed!

A guy and his dog

Lucas and I snapped a few more pictures while his mom went to round up their dog.  Then we captured some of my favorite images of the session.  There is just something about the bond between a guy and his dog.  His puppy clearly loves Lucas!  I loved being able to capture the joy on Lucas’s face while interacting with his puppy.  (I call all dogs puppies regardless of their age! ).

 

The Barn

No session at Stauffer Farms would be complete without pictures in their historic barn.  Their barn is so beautiful they have turned it into a wedding venue! I can only imagine how many wonderful memories it  holds for the Stauffer family from the generations it’s been in their family.    Thank you so much Lucas and Stauffer family for allowing me to capture this special milestone in Lucas’s life!
