Jordan’s Winter Senior Session

The short walk from the parking garage to the Fort Wayne Botanical gardens in the cold winter wind, made us so thankful Jordan had planned an indoor senior session.  This winter has been such a crazy mix of cold, snow, wind and ice!  As we worked on nailing down the date for Jordan’s senior session, we had to keep a close eye on the weather.  For all our planning,  we had to change dates at the last minute, because of … yep you guessed it, winter weather.   In the end, it worked out perfectly,  Jordan had a beautiful day for her session and even had some sunshine!

Quiet thoughtful beauty

Under Jordan’s quiet beauty there is a heart of an adventurer who isn’t afraid to make her own path.  With a desire to study international relations, she will be the first person in her family to attend Indiana University.  I can only imagine how much inspiration the beautiful rolling campus will provide for her drawings and sketches.  All college students need to take time for a little stress-relief, right?

Throughout middle and high school Jordan has enjoyed playing the flute in her high school’s marching and concert bands.  Marching band students have such dedication to make their show successful.  Giving up weeks of their summer to practice all day long in the hot sun, to learn the basics of their music and show formations.  Once school begins they spend class time, 2 nights a week and nearly every Saturday practicing or performing their show.  Jordan shared the past few years the band competition season ended at semi-state.  Finally…she was delighted her senior year, they were able to earn the right to return to State finals completion.  Certainly an awesome way to end her marching band career!

As she shared things happening in her life, I was touched by what a sweet and thoughtful friend Jordan is.  I would say her friends are very blessed to have her as part of their lives.  I feel blessed that she shared a bit of herself with me and entrusted me to capture a small part of her senior year.
