K & C Mother-Son session

Surprise, another blog post this week!  I had some extra time today, so I wanted to share one of my recent sessions!

This mother-son session was so much fun!  At the end of  December I had a giveaway to help raise fund for a young girl in our community fighting cancer.   This sweet mom was so excited to learn she was the lucky winner.  Right away she told me she’d like to have a session for her and her son.  We decided to connect in the spring to set up their session.  Well winter went on forever this year!  Once long-awaited spring arrived, it was beautiful!!!!  We  were finally able to get their session in during the last few days of school!  We were blessed with sunny skies and perfect temperatures!

As I drove around scouting locations before the session, I saw on of my favorite places in a new light.  I looked at this wonderful grassy hill and thought, that would be perfect to run down!  K and her son did not disappoint!

As we walked around and took pictures at different areas of our local park I learned a bit about them and enjoyed seeing the dynamic between them.

 

This guy was awesome!  He was very gracious to indulge me in capturing a few pictures of just him!

 

I just love this little wooden walkway!

 

What a great sport this mom was to spend part of the session running down this hill!  May we all take time to share joy and abandon like this with our kids!

So thankfully I was able to talk K in to some pictures of just her also.  She’s just delightful!

We took these pictures at one of my all time favorite spots!   We are so blessed to have an Indiana State Park right in our own community.  They have lots of activities going on this summer and a new baby bison!  I saw him this morning and he is so cute!!!
