Noah and Aimee planned their wedding with pictures in mind. Aimee knew right away that she wanted to have the ceremony at Pyramid Hills Sculpture Park in the beautiful morning light. She had spent time hiking in the park as she grew up and knew how amazing it’s views are in the fall. Shortly before the wedding, the continued threat of COVID prompted Aimee and Noah to decide to have have a Pyramid Hills Micro Wedding to protect the health and safety of their friends and family.
The girls spent the night and began getting ready in Aimee’s parents home bright and early in the morning. When I arrived the girls were enjoying time together, sipping coffee while doing their hair and make-up. Aimee’s did an amazing job giving herself a beautiful up-do which she practiced for weeks! I snapped some pictures of them getting ready and started with detail shots.
The day started so early, that it was still dark outside! I was thankful to be able to use the fireplace mantel to hang the dresses on. Aimee chose a unique and lovely vintage dress from Esty that was perfect for her! She was a gorgeous bride! For bridesmaids dresses, Aimee choose a beautiful array of burgundy and greens for that looked stunning together!
Noah choose a tweed suit with a burgundy tie. While the groomsmen mirrored his look with their own tweed-like attired.
Aimee, her family and bridesmaids made me feel so welcome! This meant so much to me! Due to distance and COVID, I had only met Aimee in-person once at the engagement session, much less time than I usually have in-person with my couples. I appreciated their welcoming into their circle so much! They are a wonderful and delightful group! I’ve been blessed to know Noah and his family for years; it is a special gift to now feel connected to both families.
Aimee and Noah met on the campus of Miami University in Ohio. They were part of the same friends group their freshman year. After a year of being friends they started dating and never looked back! They were married on the overlook at Pyramid Hill with a beautiful backdrop of fall colors. Friends and family read verses of scripture. Aimee and Noah wrote their own touching vows to each other. They committed to how the will support one another and even shared their own perceived areas that they need to work to grow in. To complete their ceremony Aimee and Noah asked everyone to join them in singing It is Well with My Soul while their friend Jubilee played the violin.
Noah and Aimee had a fun interactive reception. They started with lunch and donuts. Then friends lead everyone in a fun game, perfect for their small gathering. They ended their celebration with a unique send off! Aimee’s sweet mom had gathered TONS of baby leaves! She bagged them in decorative bags. Everyone tossed the leaves at the couple as they left their wedding day celebration! Absolutely prefect for this nature loving couple!
It was a unique and beautiful wedding day filled with the things that mean the most to Aimee and Noah, their faith, friends and family. Sit back and enjoy a sneak peak of their special day!
