Sun Filled Senior Session

Anna had such a gorgeous sun filled senior session!  But that almost wasn’t the case.  Her session was schedule for a Monday that turned out to be a miserably cold, windy, rainy day.   Her wait was rewarded with a beautiful sun filled day!  While still windy, it was also much warmer.  A huge thank you to Anna for her patience in waiting for her blog post.  Her session was the last of seven sessions in six days, and it took me a while to make it through all the beautiful images!

 

4-H

4-H has been a big part of Anna’s life, so they wanted to make sure to capture this in her senior pictures.  Anna and her family created a fabulous display of a few of the ribbons and trophies she’s won during her 4-H career.   I loved their creativity!  Anna shared with me about her favorite and least favorite projects.  Rabbits are Anna’s favorite project.  She included reserve grand champion trophies from a couple rabbit categories in her display.  Who wouldn’t love a trophy with a bunny on it!

 

Alpacas

Anna also shared her experience in the Alpaca project.  I thought this was super cool!  A local alpaca breeder started an alpaca club where 4-H members can “rent” an alpaca for their project.  Anna went to weekly meeting to learn about alpacas and how to work with them.  Then she showed her alpaca Thor at the fair.  Alpacas can be shown in a regular obstacle course and a public relations obstacle course.

Did you know, alpacas can be trained as service animals?    The  public relations obstacle course involves “obstacles” an alpaca might encounter as a service animal.   Anna’s mom shared that Anna had a strong bond with her alpaca Thor, as a result he trusted her completely.  He would do anything she asked of him.  That bond and trust helped her Anna win grand champion in the public relations category.  I can only imagine the hours of hard work, patience and love Anna poured into Thor to create such a strong bond.

 

It was such a joy to spend an afternoon with Anna and get to know her a little better.  Thank you Anna for sharing about your love of animals and hanging out with me!  We captured so many beautiful sun-filled images.  Sit back and enjoy a peak of a few of my favorites.
