Colorful Senior Session

Brooke had such a fun and colorful senior session!  As we were planning her senior session Brooke’s mom was trying to think of creative ways to incoporate Brooke’s passions of art and cooking into her senior session.   I sent her a few suggestions and they ran with it.  Brooke’s younger brother Mason also joined in so we could capture a few images of him for his annual pictures.

 

She brought a hat!!!

I have been so blessed to capture this sweet family since my very first year in business nine years ago!  Over the years, Brooke has almost always worn at hat in some of her image.  So I was secretly hoping she would bring a hat for some of her senior pictures.  She did NOT disappoint!  I was so excited when Brooked pulled out a hat!  Hats are just such a Brooke thing!   We started out capturing a few images by the water.

 

It’s moving!

Next we moved over to some beatiful fall grasses I have fallen in love with this season!  I don’t know that anyone doesn’t like them!  Brooke and I are busy capturing some images of her when her dad notices a creature moving in grasses to our right.  He keeps an eye on it, and we keep shooting.  When he notices it moving we start moving away, and I just keep on snapping away!    Brooke never misses a beat, totally rocking the model look!  Later, when we are closer to her dad I learn he said it’s growling!  Yikes!    Hidden in the tall grasses we never did see what it was!

 

The many faces of Mason…

As we walked about and explored different areas to capture pictures in, Mom and Dad reminisced about how little Mason was when I first captured their pictures.  He was six!  He is a tough cookie!  I consider it an accomplishment when I’m able to capture a genuine Mason smile!   This year I captured the many faces of Mason!   As I freshman, I hear he’s already planning a few ideas for his senior session.

It was fabulous how Brooke and her mom took the artists ideas and ran with it!  I was able to capture Brooke sketching.  Then they brought out the paints!  The joy on Brooke’s face and the joy she exuded during this part of the session was really special!  I hope Brooke enjoyed creating these images as much as I enjoyed capturing them.  I so appreicate how much she trusted me throughout the entire session and how she embraced some of the crazy ideas I suggested with the paint.
