Summer Morning Engagement Session

Aimee and Noah graciously met me  for a summer morning engagement session, after their scheduled session was foiled by thunderstorms.  The morning started out foggy. The sun made a welcomed appearance two-thirds of the way through our session.  You can definitely tell when the sun came out!   I was blessed to take Noah’s high school senior pictures 4 years ago.  It’s such a joy to get to know him a little more now, and met Aimee!  They are such a sweet and delightful couple.

How they Met

Amiee and Noah met at during their freshman year at their university in Ohio.  They were part of the same friends group and over the year became good friends.  Eventually, they  started dating, and have now been together almost two and half years.  Noah and Aimee were even in a band together, and did a great rendition of 99 Red Balloons!

The Proposal

On a cold snowy weekend in January, Noah headed to Aimee’s parents’ house to celebrate her birthday with her family.   They both value the written word and notes and letters were part of their relationships.  Noah also included them as part of the proposal.  So sweet!  Aimee has a one of a kind ring made by a silversmith in Norway!  Being nature lovers was incorporated into her ring.  The sides of the band resemble the texture of tree bark.  Definitely the most unique ring I’ve ever seen!

Getting to Know Aimee & Noah

Aimee and Noah were so fun during their summer morning engagement session.  They laughed and giggled the whole time, clearly very happy and relaxed together.   They are such an interesting couple and I enjoyed getting to know them a bit.  Aimee studied linguistics and also has a minor in German.  She shared about the semester she spent abroad in Germany.  She enjoyed it, but they don’t plan to spend the much time apart again!  Aimee has a fascinating job helping not-for profit groups better serve their client base.  (I sure hope I summarized that correctly!  Even Aimee said it was hard to explain exactly what she does).

Noah is going to use his computer science degree to serve a year with AmeriCorps.  He’ll be helping in lower income schools.  I’m so impressed and so proud of this young couple using their degrees to serve.   ( On a side note:  22 year me is a little jealous, I also considered  serving in AmericCorps or the Peace Corps, back then) .  Go Noah!

I enjoyed Aimee and Noah so much and can’t wait for their October wedding!  Thank you so much Aimee and Noah meeting me so early and spending the morning with me.    Enjoy a little sneak peak of their session.

They nailed the model face!
