I’m back from vacation and so excited to share Kaycee and Jeremy’s wedding with you! Their wedding day fell on the hottest day of the year, with heat index warnings of over 100 degrees, high humidity, and no air conditioning! Kaycee and Jeremy had waited over 7 years for this day, and they weren’t going to let a little heat spoil it in the least! It’s something very special to meet that special someone while still in middle school! Growing together through the teen years of high school and into college, Kaycee and Jeremy have such a close bond. Their friends and family all talked about how they are the perfect fit for each other.
I first met Kaycee when she was a senior in high school. She is one of the most hard-working, sweetest seniors I’ve ever had the privilege of photographing. I remember, as a senior sitting in my kitchen, her determination to attend the same small private college as Jeremy. Little did I know then, in a few short years they would be getting married! I’m amazed at her energy and dedication both in high school and college, maintaining good grades, playing sports, and working 2 jobs at times! I don’t know Jeremy as well, but he has impressed me every time I’ve been around him. He’s a kind gentleman and his love and caring for Kaycee are obvious to anyone who spends time with them. He also manages a full schedule with school, sports and work with solid plans and goals for this future.
Kaycee and Jeremy could not have handle the extreme heat with more grace! Everyone acknowledged it was hot, there was no escaping it, but I didn’t hear one person complain or grumble. While wedding days can be stressful and heat often makes tempers flair, I didn’t hear one cross word from anyone. This couple and their family and friends were so excited to celebrate the beginning of their lives together, there was only love and joy for them expressed that day. There was cold water passed out to all the guests, instructions from the minister on what to do if anyone felt faint, and a beautiful wedding ceremony uniting one of THE sweetest couples.
They were married at The Tabernacle in Monroe Indiana. I love the tall arching wood ceilings! What a stunning rustic interior this building displays. After the ceremony, everyone made the short drive to The Mirage Banquet Hall just 7 miles up the road in Decatur, IN. In decorating the reception tables, the owner of The Mirage did a wonderful continuing Kaycee’s pink and white color scheme and complimenting the decorations made by her and her family.
Grab a cool glass of ice tea and enjoy some of my favorites from Kaycee & Jeremy’s beautiful wedding day!
I love getting to see the sweet friendship these sisters share! Kylee was a stellar maid of honor!
Kaycee was such a joyful bride! She wore this beautiful smile and easy laugh all day long!
This was such a fun bridal party! Loved the ideas they had for these playful shots!
It’s a special honor for me when seniors I’ve photographed give me the privileged of sharing in another big milestone in their life, especially their wedding day. Thank you so much Kaycee and Jeremy for letting me share in your special day!
