Matt and Megan are the best! They drove an hour and a half from Peru for their Headwaters Park Engagement Session! The are so sweet together and it doesn’t take long to see that they adore each other!
Matt and Megan met through Facebook. They had mutual friends and he friended her, she messaged him and the rest is history! 🙂 As the got to know each other they learned that her aunt and his mom actually worked together years ago. One of the beauties of living in a small town! I truly love how people are connected in so many layers when generations live together in small towns.
Matt proposed in January on their two year anniversary after a dressy dinner out. He even included their pit boxer Sophie in his proposal, how sweet is that! Sharing their proposal story, Megan said she came downstairs to find Matt “on his knee with our dog on his other knee! He knew I couldn’t say no if she was involved.” Of course she would have said yes even without Sophie, because she ” … knew he was the one from the moment we met. ” What a sweet proposal story!
As we wandered through Headwaters Park for their engagement session we chatted and I learned more about them. Matt loves Megan’s eyes. He also appreciates what a great cook she is. Even though she cooks for a crowd everyday at a local nursing home, she still cooks for them, too. When I asked Megan what she likes best about Matt, she didn’t even have to think about it, “Everything!” Best answer ever! She shared that he treats her like a princess.
One of their favorite things to do together is to go for ice cream–one of Megan’s favorites! She’s lucky that her family owns an ice cream place in Peru and they even stocked her freezer with her favorite flavor at the end of the season. I share Megan’s love of ice cream so I just had to recommended my favorite ice cream place- Antiqology They stopped to try it out on the way home from their engagement session! She messaged me that it was pretty good and a cool store!
We first this summer I liked Matt & Megan immediately! We met for a short consult and ended up talking for over an hour! I’m so thankful they chose me to capture this special time in their life and cannot wait for their summer wedding!
Sit back and enjoy a few of my favorites from their Headwaters Park engagement session.
Did I mention how stunning her ring is? Absolutely gorgeous!
